Day three: lake Morena to Cibbetts Flats. 12.6 miles. another late start but better 8:40 much condensation in the tent. Scout (trail angel) arrived at 7:30 with sleeping bag for Annie, yay! beautiful day paused at Cottonwood Bridge two creek crossings so good on my feet. I’d hope to camp at Cottonwood Creek last night but so glad Annies sleeping bag prob is fixed now. had lunch at Boulder Oaks at noon getting hot hot hot we took an hour then onward and upward, steady climb into beautiful hills I *heart* my chrome dome. locals pointed us to sweet swim spot on Kitchen Creek, but on the way out Annie saw a huge snake, probably a black rattler. Camped at Cibbetts Flatts, met Dave who gave us each a crazy-yummy homemade cookie from his wife.
